To all of our fans,
We have been getting a lot of inquiries in regards to the continuation of the series. As the creator of the show, it has been difficult not continuing when so many are looking forward to it and asking what the hold up is.
We have been unable to continue thus far because we have not had a sustainable plan.
Amie and I are not wealthy individuals. In fact, the only reason we were able to pull off the first season is because I know a lot of tricks that lowered the budget. But even this was not a sustainable plan for more than a season, because we still ended up spending in excess of $15,000 over a period of two years. Despite these issues, we maintained a steadfast attitude about finding a solution.
The good news is we have worked out a plan for the future that should help maintain GUGP for many years into the future.
We applied for fiscal sponsorship which would allow us to raise money through grants and donations. With over 400 foundations that help the visually impaired in the US, I believe we should be able to fund Growing Up Guide Pup. I just want to thank everyone for your patience, and a new season should be coming as soon as this December if we land our fiscal sponsor. Fingers crossed and stay tuned.
