Woohoo! Gabby has moved up to phase 2 this week at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafeal. With lots to learn in phase 2, Gabrielle is continuing her pattern training.
She is learning a 2nd curb up exercise and working on finding curbs in town now. She is also walking routes in town with planned distractions and working on a responsible lead exercise. She is continuing on food protocol and refusing food when not appropriate. The obstacle course she was working on in phase 1 she is now progressing to working it while in a harness. She is still working on her obedience skill but now with added distractions and also learning a few new obedience commands. Phew, that must be exhausting, but sounds like lots of fun.
